The Competition Commission proudly sponsored the award for the best final-year student in the BSc (Hons) Economics and Law program at the University of Mauritius.
At the Prize-Giving ceremony organized by the Faculty of Social Studies and Humanities, the Executive Director, Mr. Vipin Naugah, congratulated all the awardees and encouraged them to pursue excellence with curiosity and dedication. He highlighted the importance of competition law enforcement for society and invited students to consider a career in this field.
Mr. Naugah also highlighted the valuable collaboration between the University of Mauritius and the Competition Commission in building expertise in competition economics and law, alongside joint research efforts to support evidence-based, pro-competitive policymaking.
The Competition Commission extends its warm congratulations to Ms. Shaïstah Liyah Imambaccus, the recipient of the 2025 Competition Commission Prize, and looks forward to continuing its support for students advancing their studies in economics and law.
