The Competition Commission is collaborating with the University of Johannesburg (Centre for Competition, Regulation and Economic Development – CRRED) in organising the 8th Annual Competition & Economic Regulation (ACER) Week in Mauritius. The event will take place from 2 to 6 October 2023, at The Ravenala Attitude Hotel, Balaclava.

During the ACER Week, legal practitioners, the business community, professionals, and other stakeholders would have the opportunity to participate in three workshops, namely:

The courses will cover key theoretical concepts in competition economics, policy and law as well as topics on hearing evidence dealing with economic factors.

The ACER Week will conclude with a two-day conference focusing on issues and challenges for competition law and policy enforcement in relation post COVID-19 economic recovery, digital markets and African Continental Free Trade Area.
