The Competition Commission of Mauritius has been selected to co-chair the International Competition Network Merger Working Group (ICN MWG) alongside the European Commission, the Norwegian Competition Authority and the Competition Bureau Canada.
The Executive Director, Mr Deshmuk Kowlessur, welcomes this nomination and states “the Competition Commission is honoured for this recognition and looks forward to contributing to the development of competition policy at the level of the international community of competition authorities. This nomination is also a recognition of the work being done by the Commission. We look forward to working with the co-chairs to develop work products and tools for enhanced competition policies and enforcement.”
The ICN is a global network of competition authorities with different working groups, one being the Merger Working Group.
